Attached to the announcement email was a copy of our yearbook listing from 2025 for your reference. Please reply (and not reply-all) as soon as you can if you have any changes regarding your contact information so that we can update our membership records for mailings and the 2026 yearbook. We would like to action this before the Spring Meeting.

Regarding communications, we are asking for your decision to be contacted by email only. By so doing, you will be receiving information faster and it will save the club money by avoiding costly paper copies and postage. We encourage your participation in this. Please reply if you want to be enrolled in email communications. We would appreciate a response before 3/20 as our most costly mailing is the Spring Meeting mailing. You will also see this question is now included in the attached 2026 Registration form. However, you don’t need to fill out the registration form to let us know. To note, the annual yearbook will be printed regardless of your communication preference.

If you recall, there has been conversation in the past about moving some trophies from the C class to MC class. The trophy committee has selected several of the trophies and both classes now have an equal number. You will see this when we publish the calendar. There were a lot of conversations that took place and we thank the Trophy Committee and trophy sponsors for all their work and cooperation to make it happen.

Speaking of calendars, Hugh, Andrew, and Bob have worked together to identify the regattas and other off-lake sailing events. Andrew has put together those dates and provided the race calendar with associated trophies. We still need to formalize the calendars and include the judging and social events. We have a great start on the calendar! Thank you, Andrew, Hugh, and Bob.

Over the next few weeks, you will be getting additional emails.

Becki Popeck is taking the lead to verify and coordinate the judging teams. She will be looking to confirm your participation, organize where we may have some gaps, and schedule teams to races. She will also be looking for safety boats. In either case, this is great way to get involved if you are looking for an opportunity to contribute. No experience is necessary as we have many seasoned and experienced judges to walk you through the process.

Megan McCurry and Morgan Standley will be sending out an email with instructions on how to contribute pictures for the yearbook. So, start finding some good ones from 2025! I am sure that they will appreciate any contributions that you may have.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and getting ready for another exciting year!

Warm regards,
Frederick Lingner
