A Message from the Commodore

Greetings All LLYC Members,

It's almost unbelievable how quickly our sailing season and summer has "blown" by!  This Labor Day weekend is our last weekend for Long Lake sailing and regularly scheduled LLYC activities. Another season for the great LLYC!

The 2018 year has certainly been a busy one for us all.

Following the Trophy Banquet, we lost our lost our beloved Norman Reese but were blessed with two new little ones as well as new C and Junior members. Kerchers rang in the holiday season for us with a LLYC party filled with fun and plenty of goodies. Our Dues Committee recommended adjusting the annual membership dues and the club voted with an official ballot to move forward with the changes.  The bylaws were officially changed and…

First Weekend in the Books

The wind did not cooperate as well as we liked for the MC Fleet but we were able to get the C Fleet out there.  The officers would like to thank the Popeck family again for hosting the Memorial Day kick off.   A reminder to all members that the LLISA clean up day is this Saturday so the racing schedule has been pushed to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate.  If you have any questions regarding the clean up please contact Joe Popeck, his number is in the year book.  On that note, the year books were passed out and they look amazing.  Thank you to Bob Schroeder and his team for a fantastic job.  If you are on the lake watching sailing please take pictures and get them to us so we can get them posted on facebook.  Look forward to another great weekend.

Spring Meeting and Paying Dues

Spring Meeting and Paying Dues

Good Afternoon LLYC and Happy Friday the 13th.  A reminder we are 1 week away from the Spring Meeting.  Everyone should be checking their mail for the schedule and your dues sheet.  Remember you can pay your dues online through the web-site.  Simply add your membership, a boat registration if it applies and a donation if you choose too.  The weather has been up and down but I know we are all looking forward to Memorial Day weekend where we all hope it will be sunny and windy.  Again hope to see a good turn out at the spring meeting and looking forward to another great summer.

Spring Meeting

Good Morning LLYC,

Just an update from the Officers of the club about the spring meeting.  The spring meeting will be held on April 22, 2018 at Nancy Schroeder's house.  The C and MC skippers meeting will be held at 1:00pm and the general meeting will be held at 2:00pm.  We look forward to having max participation to get together and vote on all matters pertaining to the yacht club.  The officers would also like everyone to keep an eye out in the mail before the spring meeting for matters that will be voted on and will require you to mail it back.  I hope everyone is enjoying these last dog days of winter and look forward to another amazing sailing season.

LLYC Officers

Winter is Almost Over

Good Afternoon LLYC,

It has been a while since we have put anything out so wanted to get back on it.  This weekend the Officers will be meeting and going over notes and officially handing off the famous brief case to Erik Herrmann.  The snow is melting and the temperature is rising so hopefully everyone is getting ready for the upcoming summer.  We will be posting dates and schedules here on the web-site once we receive them.  I hope everyone is enjoying the remainder of winter and looking forward to the upcoming summer.
